Medium matte ruby in colour. Savoury, spicy aromatics of thyme, pine forest, strawberry and earth. This is medium bodied but quite firm in the mouth with the ability to handle more substantial foods and proteins. Hold if you can for a few years or decant before serving.
Vineyard: We have 6 rows of Pinot Noir planted in 1990 right next to the winery to clone 115.
Wine Making: We fermented this wine with stems included, hence "Whole Cluster". This is an old school technique used extensively in Burgundy and increasingly in Oregon which imparts more structure and tension in the wine. This is much more savoury and taught than our other Pinot's and will improve greatly with a few more years in bottle. If you drink soon please decant generously.
