Dark vibrant ruby/purple. Exposive nose of blueberry and cassis and savoury sois bois. Medium bodied but with punchy tannins and driven acidity. Could use a solid decant or a few more years in bottle. Now?- 2024+
Vineyard: 2 rows planted in 1990 on granite bedrock. It is the oldest St. Laurent vineyard in Canada. 100% Naramata Village.
Wine Making: Hand-picked on October 2nd 2017. Fully de-stemmed. Fermented on skins in 2 ton open top fermenters. Basket pressed. Full malolactic fermentation in Neutral French barrique. Raised in old barrique. Bottled unfined and unfiltered in March 2019.
